Lauren became Practice Principal in 2023, having been part of the team at Milngavie Orthodontics since 2016. She loves being part of the Milngavie community and takes great pride in caring for her patients locally, treating both children and adults. She welcomes patients from across Scotland and the wider UK.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Glasgow in 2010, where she was awarded the Tom Pitt Ford Prize in Endodontics.

Following graduation, Lauren gained extensive postgraduate experience across a range of specialties including Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, and Restorative Dentistry. In 2012, she was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.

Lauren went on to complete her specialist orthodontic training and postgraduate research at Newcastle University in 2013. Her Master of Science (MSc) research in health economics was published in 2018. She achieved her Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2016.

She is actively involved in the profession as Secretary of the Scottish Specialist Practitioners Group and Chair of the Scottish Invisalign Study Group. Lauren has a strong clinical interest in Invisalign treatment, confidently managing both straightforward and complex cases.

Passionate about professional development, Lauren continually enhances her skills by keeping up to date with the latest techniques and advancements in orthodontics. She is also committed to mentoring the next generation, having successfully trained three orthodontic therapists.

Lauren is a proud advocate for women in dentistry, supporting and encouraging greater representation and progression within the profession.
